First of all, I just wanted to let everyone know that Sheri has decided to drop out of the competition.
Then, I also wanted to mention a couple of things. I know that the people who were at Scott and Tobi's for dinner the night we made all the rules already know this, but I wanted to be clear for anyone who might not know. The points can only be earned in one day at a time. For example, you can not work out for 2 hours one day, and none the next and count 4 points. Also, the free day is one day during the week where no points are awarded. Its not one free day per point, so you can't eat sweets on Monday, potatoes and bread on Tuesday, not work out on Wednesday, and drink soda on Thursday, etc. If you were to do that, you would lose one point on each of those days.
I only bring this up because I have wished I could do those things, and know that I can't, but wonder if maybe those of you who weren't there when we made up the rules, think you can. If you have any questions, please post a comment below.
And lastly, if you are in the competition, we are going to have a celebration dinner for everyone at Scott and Tobi's house on Sunday, March 22nd. If you live in Utah, you MUST BE THERE TO WIN. (So far, the only out of towner is Chris, and he has never given me an update, so we should all be able to make it) We will do the final weigh in at their home. Its not that I don't trust everyone, but as we found the night we weighed in, most of our numbers were off a little.
Thanks everyone!

Maria got 36 points this last week and is now 116.4 lbs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennie for clarifying. Of the 106 points that I thought I had attained, I now have 3. j/k haha.
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to point out that I hope nobody is thinking of backing out who has fully committed to this just because their points might be a little short. A lot of people have already committed their money. I just hope that everyone is taking this to heart, that it isn't about the money, it is about our families' health.

ReplyDeleteJennie....what about a sort of compromise. What if you have a max number of points per week, but not necessarily per day. That way if someone absolutely can't workout on two different days in the week they can still have the option of making it up on another day. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, this is how it was when we made the rules, but what does everyone think now?

jennie just an update, my point totals for the first 3 weeks are 35, 31, 30 and i weigh 179. Nolan
ReplyDeleteMy beginning weight was first thing in the morning (the Monday after you all wieghed in), not fully clothed. If I do my ending weight at Scott and Tobi's at night and fully clothed, i will weigh about 2 or 3 pounds more than I did that morning. I should have put 153 for my starting weight, it it has to be at night. What should I do? I'm worried I'm gonna get jipped by a couple of pounds, but it's ok if you want me to leave it as it is. I'll just have to work harder and lose a little extra.
ReplyDeleteWe were all a few pounds heavier than we thought because of the same thing. We decided to just weigh ourselves whenever we wanted after that, at whatever time of day, wearing whatever, just for the updates, then the thing that will really count is the weigh in on the last day. All of us will probably weigh a few pounds more than our updates say, so I wouldn't worry about it.
ReplyDeleteI did terrible this week! I gained 1/2 lb. and only earned 34 points. We had alot of yummy food and treats around. I want to know Treo and Maria's favorite desserts so I can send them over because they are too perfect at this. JK.
